Adidas JABULANI BAll production- official ball FIFA World Cup 2010 in South Africa
Jabulani - meaning 'to Celebrate' in the isiZulu language - is the name of the new ball for the FIFA World Cup 2010™. Made, as ever, by Adidas - the world's leading Football equipment manufacturer, the Jabulani ball builds on their years of scientific excellence. With their history of official FIFA World Cup balls (from Telstar to Teamgeist™) the balls have improved year on year, though not without attracting some controversy along the way. Regular balls are made with 32 hexagonal panels. The Teamgeist for World Cup in Germany 2006 had only 14 panels. The Jabilani ball has an amazing 8 panels. Goalies will be happy with the 'grip n groove' texturing, which is also to aid smooth flight (think golfballs). It is a heavy ball, and has bonded 3d panels - moulded spherically to retain shape and create a seamless spehere. The number 11 carries heavy symbolism - the tribes of South Africa, the players in a football team. In honour ofthis, there are 11 colours used on the ball.

Dutch World Cup ∙ the Netherlands in South Africa 2010
Enjoy what the Dutch team did on the World Cup in South Africa this year. Again, we were véry close, like we did in 1974 and 1978. Now we lost the final against Spain, because of a goal of Barça's Andrès Iniesta. Holland won every single match on the tournament, except this final. It beat first Denmark, Japan and Cameroon, then Slovakia, Brazil and Uruguay. In spite of the disappointing end of the World Cup, Bert van Marwijk and his team did a great job! SPECIAL 1 TV (World Cup EP01) Jose's South African Opening
SPECIAL 1 TV (World Cup EP01) Jose's South African Opening
Here it is at last, originally broadcast on BBC3 on 11th June 2010 ....very nice & all thanks to Mario Rosenstock & all at, Caboom productions & their usual co-horts Blue Elf for the BBC - This is Jose's 1st performance of his legedary talk show for exactly a year - so rejoice that the special world cup just became even more special. After the setanta sports network went bust in 2009, S1TV was left without a home & the prospects for a new network or broadcaster taking it on seemed bleak at best as the show had become pretty well known & associated with it's previous masters. although this means nothing to the shows fans around the globe - it did matter to other broadcasters. Mario Along with Damian Farrell (director/puppeteer at caboom) spent the rest of 2009 trying to gain a new home for the show & Jose, after 22 painfull& fruitless meetings with Irish network RTE, Mario was contacted by the BBC with regard to bringing the show back for the world cup & possibly for the next Premier league season - a 6 figure deal was made & agreed in one morning last December & this episode is the 1st baring of fruit from that deal. So the Special one is back & long may he continue. The greatest underground football (soccer) comedy that has ever hit the airwaves & the internet has just gone mainstream... Boulder World Cup 2011 report - Barcelona
Boulder World Cup 2011 report - Barcelona
Barcelona (ESP) - The heat of Barcelona seems to have shuffled the cards of the 2011 Boulder World Cup, as the favorites Kilian Fischhuber and Anna Stöhr (AUT) did not make it to the podium in the competition set by Reini Fichtinger. In the women's field, Akiyo Noguchi was the only one to complete all four problems, while the second ranked Alex Puccio just sent 2, although being very close the the top of the second boulder. Third the French Melissa Le Neve, with 2 tops in Finals and one top less than Puccio in the Semis. Guillame Glairon Mondet seized his victory and the gold medal by flashing the fourth problem. Behind him, two Russians, Rustam Gelmanov and Dmitry Sharafutdinov, the only one to make it on problem number four together with the French winner. Anna Stöhr and Kilian Fischhuber maintain the lead of the WC Ranking 2011, although their advantage on respectively Noguchi and Puccio has been reduced. Sheffield next week will give an hint of who could gain the World Cup 2011: after Sheffield, the Boulder World Cup will take a break until the last competition of the year, in Munich. Unfortunately this video is less attractive than some other clips too since there was no light on the wall. The footage of the GoPros and other small chip cameras was pretty much unusable. (it would have been very helpful if some of the responsible people had been to some of the previous BWCs to learn a thing or 2) The whole event was doomed when they decided to do it in this concrete ...

World Cup - "In the Sun 0.8" Online Goals Compilation
MUSIC: Feeder "Seven Days In The Sun" As you can probably tell by the title of this video, this project was not actually fully complete (hence the 0.8). I did finishediting the full video, but unfortunately, due to a computer problem, I wasn't able to render the final version. Luckily, I had a slightly less polished version already rendered. I felt that some of these goals were too good to go to waste, so I decided to upload the 0.8 version. Normally this isn't something I would do, but I've litterally been trying to fix the problem for 6 hours today, and about 10 hours yesterday, with no luck. A lot of people have been requesting a WC goals comp, and with the FIFA 11 demo coming out in less than a week, I figured I should just go ahead and upload it. So there are definitely a few changes I would have liked to done, but I suppose most of the vid is fine. The FIFA 11 demo will be out the 15th on Xbox LIVE and PSN. Like last year, I will make a tutorial featuring all the new skill moves in the game. And to keep everyone happy, I will make one tutorial for Xbox 360 and one for PS3! So look out for that! =)

26min Highlight Show @ UCI MTB WORLD CUP 2011 - Val di Sole - XCO
The final round of the UCI World Cup presented by Shimano concluded in Val di Sole, site of the 2008 world championships. In the cross-country final, Catharine Pendrel (Luna) took her third World Cup victory of the season at the World Cup Final in Val di Sole, Italy, but it wasn't enough to beat Julie Bresset (BH-Suntour-Peisey Vallandry) for the overall title, trailing by a mere 40 points in the final standings. Jaroslav Kulhavy (Specialized) is proving to be unbeatable, as he took his fifth win in seven races at the Elite Men's World Cup final. Kulhavy fended off a strong challenge by the Swiss duo of Nino Schurter and Florian Vogel (both Scott-Swisspower) to outsprint Schurter for the win. Pendrel came into the final race 140 points behind Bresset, and decided to attack from the start. "I figured I had nothing to lose, so I just went hard for the whole race," she explained. By the start of the second lap it was just Pendrel and Bresset, and the Canadian dropped her French rival on the steep climbs. Bresset was struggling with the heat and the climbs, and first Gunn-Rita Dahle Flesjaa Multivan Merida) bridged up and dropped her, and then world champion Maja Wloszczowska (CCC Polkowice) did the same, joining Dahle Flesjaa. Wloszczowska, dropped Dahle Flesjaa in the final half lap, and took second place, establishing herself as a strong contender to retain her rainbow jersey, while Dahle Flesjaa, taking her second World Cup podium in two weeks with third has also moved ...
